It’s a pleasure to introduce myself. My name is Danielle Beaudry-Beckstrom, and I’ve transitioned from a career dedicated to wellness to one of creating pure indulgence. For years, I worked as a retired nationally certified kinetic massage therapist, spending long days focused on caring for countless people, alleviating their aches, pains, and daily stresses.
The Beginning of a Soothing Ritual
After those demanding days, my personal sanctuary—my essential ritual—was a long, hot Epsom salts bath. It was my outlet to decompress, rejuvenate, and care for my own body. These cherished “Me Times” were made special with high-quality bath products and a simple, calming candle. It was this commitment to personal well-being that sparked a creative journey.
From Hobby to “Happy SUDS”
About seven years ago, I began crafting my own line of bath bombs, soaps, and lotions as a simple hobby, focusing only on using the highest-quality, high-end ingredients. These “end-of-the-day” indulgences became so special that I felt compelled to share them with my closest family and friends.
My casual craft soon transformed into a new business, all thanks to a simple act of kindness. A young man in my town was preparing for the Special Olympics, and I offered one of my handmade bath fizzies for his fundraiser. He loved the experience, and his mother, impressed by the quality, later became a board member at our local art center. She asked if I would be willing to sell my products in their gift shop. The rest, as they say, is history.
I believe it is fundamentally important to set aside time for yourself to relax, destress, and fully rejuvenate. That feeling of ultimate calm and relief is what inspired the name for my company: Above the Clouds Artisan Soaps.
